Pumpkin Festival at All Saints Episcopal
Twice each year, All Saints Episcopal Church of Sunnyside hosts a street fair, once in the Spring (called the Strawberry Fair), and once in the Autumn (called the Pumpkin Festival).
Church members chip in at various stations, and this year I ended up at the grill with Father Jerome, feeding 5,000 despite starting out with just 5 buns and 2 hot dogs.
A couple of the images below are from the little fife and drum corps of Sunnyside

Hill of Tara
The Hill of Tara (Irish: Cnoc na Teamhrach,[1] Teamhair or Teamhair na Rí), located near the River Boyne, is an archaeological complex that runs between Navan and Dunshaughlin in County Meath, Leinster, Ireland. It contains a number of ancient monuments, and, according to tradition, was the seat of the High King of Ireland.

New Year's Eve, 2012
Our long tradition in our family is to spend the latter part of the evening in reflection and repentance. Then at the stroke of 00:00 we pray in gratitude and to offer ourselves for the year to come.
After our prayers we have a toast with the family, and then head right next door to our neighbors of 18 years to spend an hour or so together.
Here below are Hiroko and me (use to be with the kids too ... the hands of time) with our immediate neighbors. Don't be fooled by the rubber champagne bottles.
